A local Fairway Independent Mortgage branch in Cincinnati, OH, partnered with the American Warrior Initiative (AWI) to honor a U.S. veteran with a grant. Along with this event, a residential housing “Boot Camp” was held to train real estate professionals and mortgage planners on how to handle the home purchase needs of active duty and military veterans with excellence.
The honoree at this wonderful event was U.S. Marine veteran, Josh Sust. Fairway and AWI were able to honor Josh with a $5,500 grant to support his ongoing health and recovery. Josh was overwhelmed by the generosity of this grant!
Branch Manager Kevin Mullin was honored to be part of this wonderful event. He said:
“The AWI Boot Camp we held in Cincinnati was a very special, and moving, event. It provided the Cincinnati Team an opportunity to give back to a wounded veteran, and to say ‘Thank you for your service to our country.’ The real estate agents in attendance said it was the single best industry event they’ve ever attended – CE or otherwise.”
Founded by Louise Thaxton and Sean Parnell, the American Warrior Initiative is a non-profit organization sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, which seeks to ease the transition for U.S. veterans between military and civilian life.
I am proud to work for a company that does so much to honor those who sacrifice for our country. If I can help answer any questions about VA loans or any other home loan options, give me a call.Tags: Veterans
